Mature trees, narrow streets and what they do to your system
Many blocks have large shade trees, short driveways and street parking, which affects how a crew stages equipment and hoses. Tree pollen, leaf litter and fine yard debris drift through open doors and get pulled into return grilles, especially where a return sits low in a hallway.
Houses from the mid-century era were often built before whole-home air conditioning was common, so ducts may have been added later through attics or soffits. Added runs tend to be longer, with more bends where dust collects. Attic flex duct under older roofs can also sag or get crushed, which weakens airflow and lets dust settle in the low spots. We check for these problems during the visit.
